The Best Way to Spread Christmas Cheer is to Sing Out Loud For All to Hear

All right, ginger spices, it's business-time.

Before I really get into everything, there are a few administrative things to go over.  If you've been on the list before, you're probably familiar with these, but it's best to look over them again.

A) Christmas Helper? -  In years past there was an activity just about every day.  I'm pretty sure that is not going to happen this year.  I have too much work to do.  I will do my best, but I don't know if I can.  So, I'd like to get a helper to help me out this year.  I might even be able to provide you with elf ears.  Maybe.  A helper would plan activities that I can't go to so that you are never lacking in Christmas cheer!  Is becoming my helper too much work?  Well then, if you'd like to plan maybe just one event, email me and let me know so I can tell the Christmas List!  We're all about spreading the cheer, so please help out!

B)     Money? - Every activity should be free, probably, but Christmas costs MONEY.  There are 62 people on this list, so if I wanted to say… buy you guys some pie, such a venture would set me back maybe a few hundred dollars.  SO, I am asking you all ONCE and only ONCE to help me out by donating to the Christmas List-Serve Fund.  Every little bit helps, and the more money in the fund the more fun we can have! Just $5 would make me ecstatic.  I'm not going to pressure you to give me money, and I'm not going to ask for it at events, but please please please help me out.  I'd love you forever (if I don't already… which I probably do, but just pretend it's worth it.)

C)     There is more to life than Christmas (I'm told) - I want to celebrate all religions this holiday season, but honestly I don't know much about them.  I think Diwali and Ramadan have already passed, and I have no idea when Hanukkah begins.  Still, if you'd like to help me out with these events, just let me know! I'd love to arrange something with you so we can celebrate the season in all its wonderfulness!

D)    Email me if you are coming to something -Since there are so many people on this list, it'd be great if you could let me know in some way if you are coming to an event.  My room is pretty big, but if we are hosting a movie night and 50 people show up, that'll be a problem.  Just let me know and we'll start the festivities!

E)    Holiday Cheer-off - I thought it would be fun if we could make up a little Holiday Cheer competition, so if anyone does anything particularly spiritous, Christmasy, Hanukkah-ish, Ramadanical, Diwalian, etc., I'll assign Holiday points.  Those with the most get a special prize at the end!  Tonight's leader is BETSY FINCH for being the FIRST to sign up for the Christmas List.  Yay Betsy! Keep it up.

Okay then! Ginger spices, it's time for our first activity!  I wanted to start off this year's list with a bang, so as you probably guessed, I'd like to get a group together for Grand Illumination!  We'll meet at Confusion Corner at 5pm.  We'll want to get into CW early so we have a good spot near the fireworks.  Plus, we might score some free cider with my 2007 CW mug (bring yours if you have one!)

That's all for right now.   More activities coming soon!

Andrew
