These are a few of my favorite things

Hey popcorn balls!

Before I get started, I just wanted to make it clear - some people felt like they couldn't come to activities unless they contributed to the Christmas List fund. That is NOT true.  It's Christmas! We care about being together, not money!

All right then - seeing as how I'm incredibly democratic, I've decided that tonight's activity will be all the stuff you guys voted for!  We'll be having hot chocolate and bumbleberry pie at 9:30 tonight in the Jamestown North 4th floor lounge!

Bumbleberry, in case you are not familiar, is a wonderful mixture of blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry, and according to the Jamestown Pie Company's website, "the combination of sweet and tart has made this our most popular fruit pie" ("Jamestown Pie Company").

That's right. I just cited.  I thought it would be funny to remind you all of the soul-crushing work and stress we're all under, because what's Christmas without a little stress?
If you're not a fan of bumbleberry pie, don't worry! Hot chocolate should be reason enough to come!  I've got three styles:
Vermont, Mexican, and Spanish.

The Vermont one is amazing because there are so many cows in Vermont, and it was given to me by a three year Christmas list veteran, Lauren Richard!

The
Mexican one is great because it's got a bit of a cinnamon flavor, and it's from the birthplace of chocolate!  Chocolate gets its name from Nahuatl, the language of the Aztec people: xoco-atl, or bitter water.  Cacao beans were roasted and crushed into a fine paste, and then frothed by pouring from a very high cup into a very low cup, like the picture.  T
rust me, Mexicans do it best.

Finally, a family favorite in
Spain is Cola Cao, which is kind of like Spanish Nesquik, but really so much better.  It tastes wonderful and it's practically a Spanish staple.

So get here early and vote for a favorite kind! I don't know if I can do all three at once...
